Rufus Wainwright

Rufus is recognised as one of the great vocalists, songwriters and composers of his generation. Apart from his many songs, he has written two operas, including the award-winning Hadrian and Antinous (2018), and orchestral settings for five of Shakespeare’s sonnets. He has written and recorded songs for several films, including Brokeback Mountain and has collaborated with musicians as diverse as Elton John and Jessye Norman. He has recorded seven studio albums and three live albums, including the Grammy-nominated Rufus Does Judy at Carnegie Hall.
