David is Senior Lecturer in Theology and Ethics at the University of Edinburgh. He researches and publishes on the ethics of farm animal welfare and advises the UK Government on this. His books include (with Rachel Muers) Theology on the Menu: Asceticism, Meat and Christian Diet.
